Tekstil ve Moda Tasarımı yaşamımızın her anında, her daim kullanmakta olduğumuz giyim öğelerini ve bu öğelere eşlik ederek görünümümüzü tamamlayan aksesuarları tasarlayabilen, giysi ve aksesuarların temel öğesi kumaşı tasarlayabilen, kumaşın yüzeyini tasarlayabilen, konsept, koleksiyon ve styling ilişkisini bilen, moda tasarımı sürecinin tümünde yer alan teknik aşamaları çözebilecek donanımda olan tasarımcılar yetiştirmektedir.
Tekstil ve Moda Tasarımı Bölümü mezunları tasarım atölyelerinde, moda ajanslarında, moda evlerinde, her türlü giyim firmalarında, giyim aksesuarı üreten atölyelerde, tekstil ve dokuma atölyelerinde, fabrikaların tasarım, Ür-Ge ve Ar-Ge bölümlerinde ve bireysel girişim ile kendi işyerlerinde istihdam olanağı bulabileceklerdir.
